Technical Support Engineer

Provides pre-sale and post-sale first level technical support to distributors, resellers, service providers, and end users of Netronics communications equipment and accessories.

Responds to requests for technical assistance or information from customers. Calls are initiated by telephone and email, either directly or through the website.

Develops knowledge and proficiency of all Netronics product lines. Creates call ticket in support management system.

Verifies customer information, equipment configuration, installation parameters, and problem details. Ensures problem description, pertinent information, and resolution is documented in notes.

Requirements Experience:

  • Min 3 years of working experience and strong network architecture skills

  • Working knowledge of radio technologies like Spread Spectrum and OFDM.

  • Working knowledge of routers, bridges and switches.

  • 2 years experience in design, configuration and implementation of TCP/IP based networks.

  • RF or Wireless experience is a major plus.

  • Previous customer service and phone support is a plus

Required Skills:

  • CNE/CCNA preferred but not required.

  • Prior experience in a dynamic, project oriented team environment.

  • Excellent interpersonal, oral and written communication skills.

  • Experience with Windows operating systems is required. WAN and RF communications knowledge is a major plus

  • Analytical and troubleshooting skills

  • Must pay strong attention to details and have good organizational skills

  • Excellent customer service skills
